Here at Former Glory we offer a full "seat bottoming" restoration service and our sister site Seat Weaving Supplies, is the specialist website offering an excellent selection of the best quality rattan cane, rush, seagrass, Danish cord and pre-woven panel cane currently available for the re-seating of chairs. Even complete DIY kits and tuition DVDs are available to help you to complete your project. In the pages of this site you will find brief descriptions of cane and rush seating methods alongside a potted history of each craft as well as the cost of our seat weaving and restoration services.
We have a selection of top quality sympathetically restored antiques at realistic prices, as well as items awaiting restoration. Our workshop is family run and based near Ferndown on the borders of Hampshire and Dorset, England.
